Report on Anzac Day, Packsaddle and White Cliffs Gymkhanas

Well what a hectic 10 days! And as a result, no email last week! Sorry bout that.  Anzac  Day started it off with bigger numbers turning out each year. We had 60 odd for our dawn service, biggest ever, and the same everywhere.

We had the Packsaddle and White Cliffs Gymkhanas also in those 2 weekends. Both very successful, even though White Cliffs seems to have ordered rain on the wrong day!! I must also add a very special thanks to the “Gang” at ABC Radio in Broken Hill for the fantastic coverage you have given all “the corner country”  and ourselves here, well done guys.

Now, events coming up, We have a Charity Concert at the Caravan Park in Nyngan on the 3rd. May for a very worthy cause, see attached programme. We have the Annual Ivanhoe Camp Draft which is coming up on the 24th. 25th. of May for anyone heading down that way. And of course all roads lead to Broken Hill next week end for AgFair on Friday and Saturday coming. Well worth a visit for all travellers.

Lots of people travelling through the region now, which is really good, big numbers at Ivanhoe Wendy said, and we had 260 through our Driver Reviver site here over the 2 week ends.

May see some of you at Agfair, we have to lend a hand in Newcastle next week with “grandkids” so not sure how the email will work but I’m sure it will!! So till then, cheers Bill Elliott WCTA
