And we thought it was cold a few weeks ago!! God save us this is ridiculous! Little bit of rain around as well. I think you got a bit up Bourke way the way they were speaking.

Not a lot happening in the really cold weather anywhere as I can make out.

White Cliffs is holding up its end this week with the Opal Festival on the 17^th. to 19^th. That’s next weekend, you’ve got time to make it. And those guys up there will make it worth your while.

Next weekend the opal festival is on at Yowah not White Cliffs.

Got word trough from down south that Wendy at the Ivanhoe Servo has 2 brand new units there now for the weary traveller. And knowing Wendy she would have them tip top, so why not drop in and check ‘em out.

If you’re tracking Broken Hill way, then the Picnic train is where all the fun is next Sunday. Track it down and I’m sure you will enjoy yourself.

It might even take your fancy to stick round Broken Hill for the week, check out the galleries, the iconic Palace Hotel, Sulphide St. Railway Museum and a trip out to Silverton is mandatory! And by then you’ll be ready for the Inland Tourism Awards. Really big night there on the 25^th. If you are thinking that way then drop in to the Tourist Info. Centre, have a chat to Patrick and the gang of great helpers there, they’ve got it all.

Mind you, if you’re down in the “inside country” then you should head to Warren for 3 fun filled days on the 25th. to 27^th. for the Polocrosse and Races.

No news from up Tilpa/ Bourke way, maybe activities have come to a halt up there, Hullie and Sarah would still have the campovens going at Bourke I’m sure, bit of poetry thrown in.
