Good morning all,

Well it’s all happening. There’s more caravans poking through Wilcannia than you can poke a stick at, and they tell me there were big mobs of ‘em at White Cliffs yesterday. Camel races, bike races, what a weekend.

Anyway, as you know all roads lead to Silverton for the 2^nd. Mundi Mundi Bash in almost as many months.

Just seeing them going through town, goodness knows where they will all fit.

Met some of them in Cobar yesterday and they are just as enthusiastic as ever.

Wonder who won the “Vanilla Slice Comp” in Merbein! If you have a minute in The Hill next weekend, duck in and visit the Winter Wonderland Markets next Sunday.

It’s an easy run from Broken Hill down to Wentworth, take your time, and enjoy the Wentworth Show the following weekend, 28/29^th. Of course there’s all sorts of entertainment going on down around Wentworth and  Mildura. Just ask those girls at the Wentworth VIC.

Now lets hope some of you caravaners are still coming, ‘cause you can have a great day at “The Cobar Miners Picnic Races”, and they are next Saturday as well.

Speaking of caravans, our Victory Park Caravan Park here in Wilcannia is now fully open again. So drop in have a beer where Edmund Resch brewed his first beer, at the Wilcannia Golf Club.

Better start preparing for September. Look what’s in front of you:

Birdsville races, 2 and 3^rd. Sept. Hay Show 9 and 10^th. Broken Heel Festival 8 to 12^th.

Enngonia Races 17^th. And the Mildura Country Music Festival, 23^rd. to the 1^st. October. Just a sneak preview, I’ll be back with more.

Don’t forget we not only have 24 hour fuel here in Wilcannia, we are also an “RV Friendly” town and have a van Dump Site opposite the oval on the highway and potable water for your van at “BP”. Drop in and say hi. Enough of me now, but please check road conditions on dirt roads before you head off.
