Muswellbrook Races, Quilpie Art Gallery, Broken Hill Agfair ...

Hello all,

I hope you all had an enjoyable and reflective Anzac Day, and if you spent it in one of our little outback towns I trust you were made feel welcome.

We don’t have anything out of the usual for the next week or so in our area, but if you’re heading to the Hunter valley, the Muswellbrook Races  are taking  place next Friday. There’s a great Photography Exhibition on at the Quilpie Art Gallery finishing on the 6th. May.

Back in Broken Hill, there’s a Karaoke Night at the Palace Hotel for the husbands (Just a thought!) and a Knit and Yarn session for the wives at the City Library.

Big Events coming up are, Agfair at the Hill on the 6th-7th. May, Every man and his dog will be there. Most of them will also be at the White Cliffs Music Festival on the 20th.- 22nd. May and if you’re around Dubbo at the end of the month, there’s the Comedy Boxing at the RSL Club on the 27th.

I’m going to duck into June now and remind you all to be in our little township for the June long weekend and enjoy our Field and Fun Day, celebrating our town being 150 years ‘young’.

Back in our own bed for next week’s edition, so till then, enjoy the warm sunny days, travel safely, and go out of your way to turn a stranger into a friend!

You all take care now,  cheers  Bill Elliott.   WCTA.
