Goodness it’s nearly afternoon. The email waves are a bit slow down here in Newcastle, but the weather is good.

How was the weekend? All good I hope. The next item on the calendar seems to be the “Opal and Gem Festival” at Lightening Ridge starting on Thursday and running for 4 days so you have time to make it.

But, if you are anywhere near Nyngan, then the Nyngan Ag. Expo is on the 2^nd. They cram everything into “1 big top day”. Go and see Terry Tremain, he’s the main man and tell him I sent you. Don’t miss it if you are about!

Let’s head to Menindee now, where’s there’s a big Trivia night at the Albion Pub, (big money to win as well) on the 14^th. Aug. And they also have a Fishing Challenge on the 6^th. and 7^th. Sept. If you want to put it in your travel “to do list”.

Now, carrying on from  the 2^nd. at Nyngan you really have to toodle up to one of our Feature Events of the year at Louth. The Louth Races on the 9^th. You’ll even find people there you know, there’ll be that many there.

The next  weekend, is all happening at White Cliffs!! Landcare Forum 15^th. – 16^th. and a Fun Bush walk organised on Glen Hope Stn. On the 17^th. If you are the walking type, and why not, about 3hours I believe, then contact Gareth at the Visitors Info. Centre, or Ann will put you on the right track.

Don’t forget the Field and Game Shoot at Milparinka is on also on the 16^th.-17^th. if you are in that vicinity and have your shotgun!

Thanks Jane for your email. Tim and Jane are up and running again at “Idalia” but the cottages are not available as yet. Good on you both. Can recommend Graphic Print in Adelaide Jane when you need a re-run on Brochures.

Thanks also to Peter and Patsy at the Silverton Hotel. They have a “Country Rock Night” coming up in September, it’s the 5^th actually.

If you are heading our way later on, then Scott will have his new self contained units up and running very soon at Warrawong. Come and visit our little town.
